Scholarships
The Deputy Director, Higher & Technical Education (T), Meghalaya, has informed that the last date for submission of online application for Pre Matric Scholarship for Classes I-X and Post Matric Scholarship for Classes XI & XII for students from the minority communities for both fresh and renewal scholarship is August 31, 2016.
Order
The District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, has informed that as per the instruction issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Arms Section), arms license holders in the district are directed not to carry their arms to a fair, religious procession and other public assembly or indulge in open display of arms and ammunition in public places. Failure to comply with the order will be dealt with seriously.
Office bearers
The YWCA, Shillong elected new office bearers and board of management for the year 2016-17 with Meba-ailang Kharkongor as president, Pauline Marbaniang as vice president, Niloufer Laloo as treasurer and Ibadarilin Lynrah as recording secretary, besides appointing Vino Paswet, Tngen S. Bank and Phiralin Lynrah as board members.
