Milk price hiked in EKH

SHILLONG: The Milkmen Association of East Khasi Hills has hiked the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre.
A litre of milk will now cost Rs 44. The new rate has been implemented from September 1.
When contacted, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, P.S. Dkhar said he will seek information from the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department on whether the price hike was effected after due consultation.
