Women’s committee formed

SHILLONG: With an aim to put up a united fight against social evils, the Committee of Crime Against Women and Drug Abuse was formed recently.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, convener of the committee, Doria Shabong said that the panel will convene a public meeting at Students’ Field Jaiaw on September 9 under the theme, “One voice versus crime against women’.
The public meeting aims to mobilize the NGOs, civil groups, politicians, etc., to unite for a common cause that has plagued the society.
