Public holiday
The Government of Meghalaya has declared a public holiday on September 13 on account of Id-Ul-Zuha (Bakrid) Festival. Meanwhile, September 12 will be a working day and not a holiday as mentioned in the holiday list.
Conference
NiKhil Bharat Bongo Sahitya Sammelan (NBBSS) Shillong will organize the 5th Uttar Purbanchal Rajya Samiti (North Eastern State level) conference on September 10 at Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture. The programme will start at 10 am with flag hoisting followed by felicitation of Jayanta Bhattacharjee, ex-Vice Chancellor, Assam University.
IGNOU building
The new building of IGNOU Regional Centre Shillong at NEHU Campus, Umshing, Mawkynroh, will be inaugurated by Meghalaya Governor V Shanmuganathan on September 27.
MBOSE notice
The MBOSE has informed that the examination forms for SSLC- non regular (private without selection test) and compartmental candidates- and HSSLC- non regular, compartmental and improvement candidates (Arts, Science and Commerce)- will be available at MBOSE Shillong/Tura offices on September 13. The examination forms for HSSLC- regular and private candidates- will be available in October first week.
