JOWAI: Parents of a few MBBS aspirants from Jaintia Hills are a tensed lot. Alleged dilly-dally on the part of the state government in announcing the final list of candidates for MBBS course has left them worried.
“The health screen test for the aspirants was conducted at Civil Hospital Shillong in the last week of August after the CBSE declared the NEET results. However, till now the final list has not been declared,” said some concerned parents from Jaintia Hills.
“MBBS classes have already started but students from Meghalaya are yet to fill in the seats reserved for the state,” one of the medical course aspirant’s father lamented.
The parents urged the state government to announce the list of candidates without further delay.
“If the state government fails we will have to knock the door of the court,” warned the JSU.
