Assault
Briston Warjri lodged a complaint that on September 12, six persons– Pherbah Kharpomtiah (56), Badondor Tariang (28), Pynshngainlang Tariang (29), Daimeshuwa Tariang (18), Kyrshanlang Tariang (20) and Levi Khongjee (26) assaulted him at Lumsohra, Laitumkhrah.
On September 9 and 10, one Vicky Sunar assaulted two women– Laxmi Sunar and Roshni Sunar, and also indecently abused them at 29-Cantonment, Shillong.
Theft cases
Sean Joseph Booth lodged a complaint on September 12 that unknown miscreants stole bathroom accessories valued around Rs. 8 lakh from his newly constructed house at Nongrah Nonglum, Shillong.
On September 11 night, unknown miscreants stole one cell-phone belonging to Alici Laloo from her residence at Langkyrding Mihngi, Block-I.
On September 9 night, VDP members of Wapung Shnong (EJH) apprehended two persons, Highborn Siangshai and Slamon Dkhar, while they were stealing livestock belonging to Dino Ryngkhlem at the village.
Bill Clinton M Wankhar lodged a complaint that on September 9 at around 11 pm, unknown miscreants stole three batteries and one engine cell valued around Rs. 48,000 from Mawlyngngad (EKH). In this connection, Police arrested Augustine Malngiang, Lazarious Syiemiong, Pynskhem Sohkhlet and George Nongsteng.
On the night of September 7, unknown miscreants stole 13 wooden window frames valued around Rs. 26,000 from the newly constructed house of Genevieve T Sangma at Nazing Bazar (WGH).
On the night of September 6, unknown miscreants stole copper wires valued around Rs. 71,000 from Demseiniong.
52 empty LPG cylinders stolen
J.S Phanbuh, Proprietor of M/s Eechloy Gas Agency lodged a complaint that on September 9 and 10, unknown miscreants broke into the store house of the agency at Mawlyngngad (EKH) and stole 52 empty LPG cylinders valued around Rs. 52,000.
One robbed
On September 11 at about 7.35 pm, five unidentified miscreants robbed Puran Bahadur Kumar of cash Rs. 20,000 and one cell-phone at Khlieh Iewduh, Shillong.
