SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma yet again wept in Assembly on Thursday while referring to the agony experienced by the people of his constituency (Ampati) after the GNLA had imposed a bandh in the area.
“The people of Ampati had gone through hell. When GNLA imposed bandh, I told my people not to be shaken and think about the larger interest of the State”, an emotionally-charge Sangma said.
He appreciated the people of his constituency who withstood the challenges inspite of    the bandh called by GNLA.
“The GNLA threatened the chief minister’s constituency. But we overcome the challenges”, he added.
Prior to this, the chief minister had wept in the Assembly when former Lok Sabha Speaker PA Sangma passed away in March.
