Concern over drug abuse

SHILLONG: The umbrella body of headmen of six localities, the Lympung ki Hynriew Shnong, comprising of the Dorbar Shnong of Mawkhar, Wahingdoh, Riatsamthiah, Mission Compound, Umsohsun and Wahthapbru has expressed concern over the alarming rise of drug menace in the localities. In a statement to the press, the Lympung said it would impose strict norms in the localities to curb the menace. It also urged the State Government to come up with stringent laws to punish drug users and peddlers.
