Govt may relax power cuts during exams, festivals

SHILLONG: Power Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday said that he will examine the request from many quarters to relax the load shedding for the upcoming religious festivals and also in view of the examinations of the students.
“I will meet officials of the power department to review the situation”, Dhar told reporters.
With the State government ready to bail out MeECL by providing loans, it will help the Corporation to tide over the current crisis, he observed.
