Students visit police stations

SHILLONG: Continuing with the initiative of the East Khasi Hills District police under the programme Visiting My Police Station, 50 students and teachers of Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Church visited Sadar Police Station, Shillong on Friday as part of the Youth Week Programme of the Church.
Inspector DK Prasad, officer in-charge, Sadar Police Station and Inspector Pynhunlang Syiem, in-charge, Sadar Traffic Branch guided them to the various branches of the police
station. They explained the role of each unit and how different police branches function. This is also to inform the public that the programme is still on and schools and colleges are welcome to visit the police station any day at their convenient date and time with prior information to the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
