SHILLONG: The UDP raised the issue of the ban on rat hole mining in the State during a party meeting in West Jaintia Hills on Saturday besides highlighting some of the problems plaguing Meghalaya.
Pleased with the response to the meeting which was held to revamp the party ahead of the 2018 Assembly elections, UDP vice president Allantry Dkhar said that “words have to be translated into action” to gain public support. Optimistic about the UDP’s chances in the upcoming polls, Dkhar said party workers were upbeat as they geared up for 2018.
