Resignations of three MDCs accepted

SHILLONG: The State Congress has dissolved the Mawsynram and the Mawkynriew block Congress Committees represented by P.N Syiem and Banteidor Lyngdoh, respectively, following the former’s suspension.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday, MPCC president D.D Lapang said Khelorsing Kharnaior has been elected as the new president of the Mawsynram Block Committee and E.R Thangkhiew is the president of the Mawkynriew Block Congress Committee.
Meanwhile, the Congress has also accepted the resignation of the remaining three party MDCs. Earlier, the MPCC had accepted the resignation of N. Antonio War and Banteidor Lyngdoh.
However, the MPCC had kept in abeyance the resignation letters of three other MDCs – Victor Ranee, Hadrian Lyngdoh and Albinus Lyngdoh – stating that they wanted to meet the party functionaries to air their grievances.
Lapang said they met the party functionaries on Monday but did not want to divulge the details. He also said that finally the party has decided to accept the resignation letters of the three MDCs.
