NCC annual training camp concludes

SHILLONG: The Combine Annual Training Camp for the NCC Cadets concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Eastern Air Command, Upper Shillong on October 16.
A ten-day programme was conducted by 2 Meghalaya Bn NCC. A total of 500 cadres, both boys and girls, from all districts attended the camp. Spelling out the mission objectives, the camp commandant emphasised on the main aim of the camp which in addition to imparting military training, was to instill in cadets leadership skills, moral values and a sense of discipline to make them good citizens.
The training module, in addition to the classes, also incorporated personality development leadership skills lectures by guest speakers. The secondary aim of the camp was also to select and train the cadets of Meghalaya to participate in the Republic Day Camp which would have cadets coming from all over India.
