SHILLONG: The JSU Mukhap Unit, has slammed the MeECL for not being able to restore power supply to the village which was cut off in August this year.
In a statement issued here on Monday, the JSU alleged that the transformer in the village was rendered non-functional since August and the MeECL (Distribution Division Jowai Division) paid no heed to the complaints of the local Dorbar Shnong in this regard.
“The concerned SDO and CEO, said that they are awaiting the equipment for installing the new transformer,” the JSU claimed and added that the wait has been too long.
