Khasi Disabilities Association to stage protest in city

SHILLONG: Peeved by the alleged apathy of the state government in not fulfilling the demands of the differently-abled people, the Khasi Disabilities Association (KDA) will stage a protest in front of Additional Secretariat on December 1.”The government has failed to meet our demands of providing employment to the disabled as per the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities Protection of Right and Full Participation) Act, 1995 is concerned,” KDA president Starwin Kharjana said.
