Bids for road project DPR evaluated

SHILLONG: Bids for DPR consultancy for the two-laning of NH-40 is being evaluated.As per the status report of the National Highway and Infrastructure Development Corporation, land acquisition estimate for the first 10km have been prepared by the West Khasi Hills DC. The report further said the Revenue and Disaster Management Department could not notify due to non-receipt of consent from the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council. The remaining stretch has to be realigned and land acquisition will be initiated only after finalisation of DPR. Four bids were received on time and are under evaluation.
The 42.405km road will be taken up at an estimated budget of Rs 258.37 crore.
