TURA: The disbanded ANVC-B outfit has called upon its former cadres to attend a general meeting of the organization at Edenbari on December 9 to discuss the government rehabilitation package for them which they claim is being deliberately delayed.
“There is so much confusion among the cadres as there is an attempt to divide the disbanded cadres from its leadership,” claimed Jakrik Wareng, general secretary of the ANVC-B in a statement. The outfit alleged that some of its cadres were asked to submit their bank account numbers to the police station without the knowledge of the leadership. It further claimed that the state government has prepared a selected list of cadres, the details of which have not been shared with the leaders of the outfit.
“Why is the state government not maintaining transparency?” questioned the ANVC-B and claimed that repeated reminders to the home minister, principal and home secretaries of the state have failed to elicit a response.
“An attempt is there to divide the organization,” claimed the group’s leaders while adding that with the festive season of Christmas coming near their disbanded members would face trying times due to the delay in release of the rehabilitation package.
