Governor hosts children at Raj Bhawan

SHILLONG: School children got an opportunity to interact with Governor V. Shanmuganathan during a programme organized by the Inner Wheel Club of Shillong at Raj Bhawan here on Wednesday.
Interacting with the students, the Governor narrated stories of the heroism of Bharata, son of Shakuntala and Dushyanta, the bravery of a man, Narendranath (Swami Vivekananda), in facing mischievous monkeys and of Dharmaputra.
Through these stories the Governor encouraged students to be courageous and inculcate the quality of trust.
Earlier, Sattriya Dance exponent Anwesa Mahanta enthralled the audience with her performance.
President, Inner Wheel Club of Shillong, Geeta Sarin was also present on the occasion.
