Burnside, Young Guns register wins

SHILLONG: On the third day of the 5th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Day and Night Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament organised by Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club, Burnside defeated Kench’s Trace by seven wickets at Rilbong ground on Friday. Kench’s Trace batted first and were all-out for 51 runs in 11 overs. Milan and Gabriel scored 13 runs, while Raju picked three wickets for Burnside. In reply, Burnside cruised to victory by scoring 52 runs in 4.1 over’s without losing a wicket. Nicky Thapa was the top scorer with 39 runs off 15 balls. In the second match, Young Guns displayed a brilliant performance to defeat Laban SC by 14 runs. Young Guns were restricted to 74 runs in 11.4 overs. Manish Sangma scored 21 runs, while Molay bagged two wickets for Laban SC. In reply, Laban SC were bundled out for 60 runs. Deepak scored 14 runs of 14 balls for Laban SC, while Khurshid and Zahid took three wickets each for Young Guns.
