SHILLONG: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has slammed the alleged double standard of the BJP and expressed serious doubt over the claims of the party that it will form the next government in the State.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, AAP state legal cell secretary Peter A Dohkrut said that the BJP often claims itself to be a secular party but its actions do not reflect the same. “The banning of beef in several parts of the country is testimony to this fact,” he said. Stating that though the saffron party boasts of fighting corruption, it is inducting people who were part of a “corrupt government” into the party fold.
Meanwhile, Dohkrut informed that the constitution of the AAP binds anybody who joins the party to file affidavits that if they break the rules, they will be asked to voluntary resign from the party.
