SHILLONG: The legal counsel of former legislator Francis Pondit R Sangma has issued a legal notice to Bulbul Sangma of Williamnagar for statements appearing in media “ FIR against Pondit Sangma over mine lease” and “Fresh FIR against Francis “. In the news report, Bulbul had claimed that Pondit has allegedly inked an agreement worth over Rs 6 cr.ore. Bulbul had claimed that the agreement was signed for coal extraction with a firm without giving dues to Rongdam clam members of West Khasi Hills.
The legal counsel demanded an unconditional apology in favour of Francis Pondit by publishing the apology in front page of the same newspaper within three days failing which legal action would be taken against him.
