Tourism bazaar to be held in city

SHILLONG: In an attempt to boost tourism in the State well as the North East region, a Winter Travel Carnival organized by Travel & Tourism Bazaar will be held in Shillong from December 14-16 from 11.45am onwards.
Informing this here on Monday, the Director of the Travel & Tourism Bazaar , Amit Biswas said that the event to be held at All Saints Hall and will see participation of tourism departments of major states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Telengana besides few local private tour operators.
The event this year would also include live music such as Ian and Group and DJ music.
A lucky draw will also be held for visitors where the winner will walk away with a free trip to Thailand
It may be mentioned that the Travel and Tourism Bazaar was started in 2008 by a few travel enthusiasts of Kolkata to create awareness and highlight the various aspects of travel and tourism.
