Saraighat Express cancelled

SHILLONG: The sudden cancellation of the Guwahati-Saraighat Express on Thursday has landed many passengers, including those from Shillong, in difficulty.It was after reaching Guwahati railway station that the passengers came to know about the cancellation of the train that was to leave at 12.30 pm on Thursday. Though the money was refunded, a few passengers from Shillong said they had to shell out over Rs 6,000 per head to catch a flight from Guwahati to Kolkata due to the emergency of work.
