TURA: Tura MDC Rupert M. Sangma has urged the BJP-led NDA government to change the date for the observance of Good Governance Day from December 25.
“There are more than 25 million Christians in India, so the change of date to December 23 only in Meghalaya does not go well with the Christians. I appeal to the BJP to respect our religion and the sentiments of the Christian community,” Sangma said in a statement.
