Shillong: A two-day crop exhibition cum competition under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture Scheme was organised by the district horticulture office in South West Khasi Hills.
Deputy Commissioner R. Lyngdoh said such events serve as a platform for farmers to exchange ideas and learn the skill and techniques through the exhibits on display.
Encouraging participants to take up organic farming, Lyngdoh said it is a sustainable method and will protect the ecology.
The DC handed over prizes and certificates to the winners in different categories.
About 12 stalls were put up at the exhibition and there were about 146 winners in the competition.
