Raj Bhavan
In view of Republic Day, the Raj Bhavan will be kept open for the general public on January 25 and 26 from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.
PHH ration card
The In charge Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has informed that all regular government employees holding ration card (PHH) are directed to return the same to the office of the Deputy Commissioner on or before January 31 for inclusion of their names in the list of Non-NFSA. Any employee who does not surrender their cards will be prosecuted. All Rangbah Shnongs under East Jaintia Hills District are requested to extend their cooperation with the government to find out if there is any PHH ration card holder and to return it to the competent authority.
Oil price re-fixed
The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat have informed that the wholesale and retail price of S.K. Oil in the District has been re-fixed.
The wholesale price at Jaintia Services Station Khliehriat has been re-fixed at Rs.19.74, at Sonapur Oil Agency at Rs. 20.17 and at Sutnga Sub-Depot at Rs. 20.54. For dealers lifting S.K. Oil from Khliehriat, the retailer price has been re-fixed at Rs. 21, for dealers lifting S.K.Oil from Sonapur Agency at Rs. 21.24 and for dealers lifting S.K. Oil from Sutnga Sub-Depot Sutnga at Rs. 21.49.
Notification
For RTI matters pertaining to the Urban Affairs Department, the Government of Meghalaya has designated the Urban Affairs Department, Raitong Building as Public Authority, the Joint Secretary as Appellate Authority, the Under Secretary as Public Information Officer and the Superintendent as Assistant Public Information Officer. This was informed by the Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Urban Affairs Department.
Digital payment
An awareness programme was held by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Shillong campus at North Eastern Security Academy (NESA), Mawlai and another at Umsawli, Shillong for promotion of digital payment in the context of demonetisation.
National Lok Adalat
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority, Shillong (MSLSA), under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, will hold the National Lok Adalat for all relevant matters on February 11 in the High Court of Meghalaya, all District Courts, all District Council Courts and all Sub Divisional Courts. This was informed by the Member Secretary, MSLSA. Any person or party receiving the Lok Adalat notice may appear personally before the Lok Adalat benches for settlement of their dispute amicably and for further information.
Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital, Shillong has informed that a 50 year old male patient, name, caste and religion unknown, was admitted on January 13 at 1:17 AM and expired on the same day at 3:00 AM. All concerned relatives are hereby requested to collect the body from the morgue of the hospital immediately failing which the corpse will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
