Albinus to join UDP

SHILLONG: The UDP received a shot in the arm as Albinus Lyngdoh from Umroi Constituency is confirmed to join the regional party on January 20.
Albinus Lyngdoh won the Umroi seat on a Congress ticket in the 2014 Council elections and resigned from Congress following Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council CEM P.N. Syiem suspension from Congress for three years.
Extending their support to Syiem other Congress Members of the District Council resigned that included Antonio War, Victor Ranee, Hadrian Lyngdoh and Banteidor Lyngdoh.
War recently joined the Bharati Janata Party and he is the only member of the saffron party in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council.
