Juvenile arrested in rape charge

SHILLONG: Jowai Police apprehended one juvenile of Shangpung Village (WJH) in connection with Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.Police said that he was involved in two to three cases of rape and attempted rapes following which he was arrested but he escaped from the Juvenile Home. However, he has been arrested again and confessed his involvement in few rape cases earlier which were never reported. Minor sexually abused On February 2, a twelve year old girl of Mawpunkshaid Village under Umiam Police Station in Ri Bhoi was admitted at Ganesh Das Hospital, Shillong, reportedly, after she was raped by one Binsent Kurbah.
