SHILLONG: A case of child labour was reported from Nongrim Hills.CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing had lodged a complaint on Monday that one 11-year-old child was engaged as a domestic help in a house at Nongrim Hills, near JJ Cables.
Police along with Kharshiing had gone to the place, but the residents and the village head told them that the woman who employed the child had gone out with her after Child Line came to the house.
Police suspect that she may be in Jowai, but there is a delay in taking action against her.
