3 science models from WJH enter state competition

JOWAI: The office of the Deputy Commissioner, in collaboration with the State Council of Science and Technology, selected three best innovative models at the district-level innovators’ meet to represent the district at the state-level on February 14.
Deputy Commissioner R. Rapthap encouraged the participants and lauded the hard work in creating the models.
“Programmes like this will not only attract people towards the unique idea or model presented but will also help innovators improve further and find better ideas.” he added.
The office of the District Administration had conducted the innovators’ meet at the block level on January 30 and 31 and at the Jowai town level on February 7.
The best innovative model was bagged by Evakordor S. Passah for the Model-”Automatic switch water Tank”, Iaishah Suting and Enamika Passah and others from Jowai Public School bagged the second and third prize respectively presenting a model on Modified Power Tiller Levelling and Low cost fridge using thermocol and Plantain Stem.
