BAC fixes fortnight Budget session

SHILLONG: The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) that met on Wednesday fixed the duration of Budget session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly for two weeks commencing from March 3.
The session will conclude on March 23.
As per the decision of the BAC, out of the 14 working days, nine days will be allotted to government business and the remaining five days for private members.
The BAC, however, said if the members feel that there is shortage of time, the discussion on any important matter can be extended beyond 2 pm.
The full Budget will be presented and passed in the House during the session.
This will perhaps be the last Budget session before the State goes to polls in February next year.
