Meeting for good governance in SWGH

AMPATI: The South West Garo Hills District Coordination Committee held a meeting here on Thursday to facilitate inter-departmental coordination for good governance.
The meeting deliberated o topics like capacity building trainings for government employees, Digital India awareness campaign, preparation for disaster management, functioning of emergency operations centre and waste management, among others.
All departments were asked to put up boundary pillars along allotted land either with the help of PWD buildings or with their own resources to prevent encroachment. The District School Education Officer was also asked to make a list of schools having damaged or dilapidated buildings so that assessment can be made for construction of new buildings where necessary.
