Traffic restriction for Sunday Synod

SHILLONG: With the congregation of the Khasi Jaintia Presbyterian Synod Sepngi set to be held at Mawlai Umshing March 12, special traffic arrangements have been made by the East Khasi Hills police.
Separate parking places have been allotted light and heavy vehicles — Madan Shnong Mawroh, Khlaw Syiem Lad Sanker Hospital, Polytechnic Ground, road from Umjarain to Mawtawar and NEHU campus have been allotted for light vehicles and K.V School inside NEHU campus (Gate No.1) is for buses and trucks.
Several roads will remain inaccessible to vehicles on the day. Vehicles from both sides of the road along NEHU Gate No. 1 till NEHU Gate No. 3, vehicles coming from Umshing and proceeding to Mawtawar will enter via NEHU Gate No. 1 and exit through NEHU Gate No. 3. Vehicles coming from Mawtawar and proceeding to Umshing will enter through NEHU Gate No. 3 and exit through NEHU Gate No. 1. Also, vehicles from Lad Umshing Bridge towards Umsohkhlur and those from Lad Umshing towards Umshingiar will not be allowed.
