SHILLONG: A 27-year-old man from South West Khasi Hills has gone missing from his workplace at Nongjri on March 6, the Civil Society Women’s Organisation (CSWO) under the leadership of Irene Hujon said on Sunday.
The organisation, in a press communiqué, stated that the missing person, identified as Armstrong Lyngkhoi from Shohphria village, was last seen by his co-workers around 6pm on March 6.
CSWO said it has spoken to South west Khasi Hills SP Herbert Lyngdoh. Lyngkhoi’s family has filed an FIR at Nonghyllam Outpost.
Dialysis unit
CSWO has said the new dialysis unit at Shillong Civic Hospital “should be maintained so that it does not end up like the Cobalt Machine to treat cancer, which non-functional now”. The organisation has also urged Health Minister Roshan Warjri to ensure that hospitals provide medicines to cancer patients.
