SHILLONG: The 11 consultancy firms which have been shortlisted by an Assembly panel have started making presentations for the new Assembly building.
The presentations for the design of the building, which will come up at New Shillong Township, started on Tuesday and will be on till Friday. On Tuesday, two consultants made their presentations and one did not turn up.
After the heritage Assembly was gutted in fire on January 9, 2001, there was undue delay in constructing a new building.
The Assembly business is currently conducted in the Arts and Culture building at Rilbong.
