SHILLONG: Banteithymmai Nongrum, an upcoming singer and contestant of reality TV show, Yes, I am that telecast on Zing channel, has requested for people’s support.
Addressing a press conference, the aspiring Hindi singer from Pynter, who is in the finale top list said that she has completed the Mega Audition held in Mumbai on February 12-13.
She said, “The grooming and training was on February 14 and 15. The results will be out in April. The organisers informed that the voting system is done by pressing “love” button in Yes, I am Facebook page and then share it in YouTube.”
In the press release, Nongrum urged the All Meghalaya Dancers Association (AMDA) for financial assistance and this comes in the wake of AMDA demanding for financial assistance from the state government support local talents who participate outside the state.
Nongrum has gone to Mumbai with financial assistance from her family. She connected with the reality after an online audition for which she was selected for the mega audition.
Meanwhile, AMDA president, Kit Thabah said that they will meet Chief Minister Mukul Sangma next week to seek government’s intervention to their demands.
He said, “We will take an aggressive turn if the state government refuses to fulfill our demands.”
