SHILLONG: A constable was arrested for allegedly assaulting a person at the Main Secretariat here on Tuesday. As per the complaint lodged by Hamid Sohtun, constable Kaushik Bhattacharjee of 2nd MLP Battalion, Goeragre assaulted him at the rear entrance of the Meghalaya Civil Secretariat. Sohtun also accused the constable of pestering his wife with calls and text messages.
