Kharkongor, who recently took charge as EM, said the secretary of the Elaka department has been asked to provide the status report within a day or two.
He informed that the Himas under the KHADC jurisdiction have not yet codified their customary laws.
The codification of laws will empower traditional institutions and the importance of the matter will be discussed in a meeting with the traditional chiefs from all the 54 Himas.
