‘Drunk constable’ assaults man

SHILLONG: An armed branch constable allegedly assaulted a person under the influence of alcohol in the city on Monday.
Ravi Thakur lodged a complaint that on Monday around 11 pm, AB Constable Pitamber Hajong created trouble in his residence at Lapalang. The constable threatened the complainant with his service pistol and also assaulted him under the influence of alcohol.
