SHILLONG: After a three-week international break, Shillong Lajong FC will travel down to Pune City on Wednesday as DSK Shivajians get ready to host the Reds on Saturday.
Shillong Lajong who played a goaless draw against Churchill Brothers SC in Goa on March 12 will play against DSK Shivajians on Saturday. The last time the two teams met was on February 11 in Shillong where DSK managed to pull off a 2-1 win over Lajong.
This also ended Lajong’s four match winning streak at home but the Reds are now looking to get their own back over DSK and bring home three points from Pune.
The current I-League table shows Shillong Lajong FC in top four with 20 points while DSK Shivajians are in the 7th position with 14 points.
Shillong Lajong gaffer, Thangboi Singto said, “We are happy to have collected 8 points from the away matches played so far. Our target now is to get 6 points from the last two away matches.”
The match will broadcast live on Ten 2 at 7:05 pm from Balewadi Stadium Pune.
