SHILLONG: A girl was allegedly raped last year in Khliehriat, which led to her pregnancy.
A woman lodged a complaint that on April 3, she took her daughter for medical treatment, where the Medical Officer informed that her daughter is pregnant. Later, the girl stated that one person had raped her in the month of July last year. In another incident on April 1, Skem Dkhar allegedly molested 11-yr-old girl and also attempted to rape her at Chiehruphi village in East Jaintia Hills.
