Telangana tourism organises road show

SHILLONG: In order to attract people of North East to Telangana, a state formed in the year 2014 and carved out from the Northern part of Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation organise a stream Road Shows in the region. The Corporation had conducted a Road Show in the city as well on Thursday.

Christina Chongthu, Managing Director of Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation, said that the road show was conducted on behalf of the Telangana Government. “We want to give a bigger exposure to the state by coming here to the North East and we have many students, patients and people coming to Telangana for medical attention, further studies and other purposes of tour,” she told a section of reporters at Pine Wood.

She informed that they have organised Road Shows in the other North Eastern states previously, but they are in Shillong for the first time. “We would like to increase the exposure and tell the people here what Telangana is all about,” she added.

Other than the Road Show, there is the Telangana food festival, she said, “We will be serving Hyderabadi Biryani and some of the Hyderabadi delicacies.”
