Ranikor Cong panel rubbishes KSU allegations

SHILLONG: The Ranikor Block Congress Committee has rubbished the KSU Ranikor circle’s allegations that there was discrimination in the distribution of relief materials to the villagers affected by natural calamity recently.
Talking to media persons on Wednesday, RBCC president German Nongsiang claimed that there has been no partiality in the distribution of relief materials which were made available by the members of the committee.
“The Government has nothing to do with the distribution,” he said.
As many as 2300 households from over 73 villages benefitted from the distribution programme, he added.
Meanwhile, assistant general secretary of the committee Kitborlang Nongrem termed as baseless the allegation of the KSU that officials of the C&RD Block sent the loyalists of Ranikor MLA Martin M. Danggo to collect the list of names from the headmen and sordar.
