SHILLONG: Meghalaya made it two wins in a row in the U-14 Sub Junior National Football Tournament in Kozhikode, Kerala beating Tamil Nadu by a massive 12-0 margin. After beating Delhi in their first encounter of the tourney, the Meghalaya side was in no mood to relent and made light work of the southern rivals who were no match to the in-form northeastern side. Last match’s heroes, Glennys Lynrah and Fairlystar Suting scored hat-tricks in the big win while Sangti Janai scored a brace. Jefferson Kharbuli, Bankyrshan Syiemlieh and Torilang Wanniang netted a goal each. Meghalaya will now play West Bengal for a semi-final berth on April 22.
