SHILLONG: The KSU Ranikor circle has reiterated that there has been discrimination in the distribution of relief materials to the villagers of the area at the behest of local MLA Martin Danggo. The KSU also accused the Ranikor Block Congress Committee of shielding Danggo.
Addressing media persons here on Friday, KSU’s Ranikor circle leader Marconi Thongni claimed that people have come out in the open rubbishing the comments of the RBCC which said that there was no wrongdoing in the distribution of relief.
Slamming RBCC president German Nongsiang, Thongni said, “What has he done for the place in the last 20 years? Even the road to his village is not motorable.
“Till date there is not much development in Ranikor in sectors of health, transport and communication.”
Stating that the KSU was not playing politics over the issue, he said, “The RBCC is only trying to protect Danggo.”
