SHILLONG: The Special Judge (NDPS) has ordered an inquiry into the alleged assault of an accused in narcotics case after he was arrested from Laitkor last week.
Advocate Poonam Yadav, who is pursuing the case on behalf of accused Raj Thapa, said a cop named Danny had assaulted Thapa alleging that he dumped a bag containing narcotics in the forest at Laitkor.  However, after he was produced before the court, the Special Judge ordered the probe by a magistrate to examine the matter.
Thapa is currently undergoing treatment at Shillong Civil Hospital.
