SHILLONG: The District Executive Committee of UDP has taken exception to the stand of party members from Pynursla circle, Tarni Khonglam, Kim, Overness Masynting and Samuel Khongbuh, who rebelled against the party.
“These members have been found to be working against the party’s interest and the Pynursla circle had already served showcause notices to them with the nod of the district,” said a statement issued by legislator Titosstarwell Chyne, who is also the President of UDP.
These members’ claim of the president not having carried out the decision of the circle’s Executive Committee meeting on February 11 is not true, the statement said.
According to Chyne, there is prima facie evidence in support of their insubordination to the Executive Committee of Pynursla circle which, under the presidentship of Banalari Khongwar, has been advised to apply internal mechanisms to streamline the functionality of the committee.
