NDFB(S) camp busted, arms recovered in Assam

Guwahati: A NDFB(S) camp was busted, arms and ammunition were recovered by security personnel during operations over two days, that concluded on Monday, in densely forested area near Paharpur, in Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, of Sonitpur district of Assam.
A defence spokesperson said here on Tuesday that based on intelligence inputs of movement of NDFB(S) cadres in Paharpur area, a search operation was launched jointly by the troops of Red Horn Division of Gajraj Corps, Assam police and COBRA Battalion on the wee hours of April 29 last. During the search operation, the forested area was thoroughly secured and the next day, the search parties busted one NDFB(S) hideout in the dense forests in Paharpur area.
The NDFB(S) cadres managed to escape taking advantage of thick foliage and dense forest. (UNI)
