On May 1 around 12.30 pm, one LP truck (AS-01FC-2496) driven by Epormi Bang capsized at Nartiang village in West Jaintia Hills. As a result, two occupants sustained injuries and were removed to Jowai Civil Hospital. Matter is under enquiry.
A motorcycle (ML-05P-7041) ridden by Clifford Nengnong (41) dashed against a wall at Mattilang Park junction, Upper Shillong on May 1 around 9 pm. As a result, the rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were removed to CH Shillong.
2 held with heroin
On May 1 evening, acting on a tip off, Police arrested two youth, Khrawkupar Syiemiong and Kitkupar Jyrwa from Polo Bazar and seized 0.13 grams of suspected heroin from their possession.
Man arrested for stabbing
On April 30 around 7.30 pm, Shen Langshiang stabbed Silvester Pyrtuh at Moorap village in West Jaintia Hills, causing injuries to him. Victim was admitted at Dr. Norman Tunnel Hospital, Jowai.
