TURA: Tura police have served a notice to sitting MDC from Jengjal Levastone T. Sangma in connection with an attempted abduction case last week.
Sangma has been asked to appear for investigation. The MDC’s car was used by two men from Mrigre village to abduct Ringgat T. Sangma, the daughter of two witch-hunt victims, from Waribokgre village.
The MDC has informed police that he is in Shillong and will face the investigation once he returns.
The first notice was served five days ago at his house in Jengjal. As he was not present, a fresh notice was served on Wednesday.
